- 2 cups flour
- 3 teaspoons baking powder
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 4 large eggs, separated
- 3 tablespoons sugar
- 6 tablespoons shortening, melted
- 1 1/2 cups milk
- non-stick cooking spray
Sift flour, baking powder, salt and sugar on wax paper.
Separate eggs with egg yolks in large bowl. Beat egg whites until firm.
Beat egg yolks. Add milk and melted shortening
Add flour mixture and STIR BY HAND just enough to moisten dry ingredients.
Fold in egg whites.
Bake in waffle iron 4-5 min.
Top with Jif peanut butter and Mrs. Butterworth’s syrup!
