Thinking Forward

Thinking Forward

You can’t ignore it, and you don’t have to be a part of #teamapple to understand its relevance. Apple’s annual September event has become an important part of our culture, and the anticipation building up to the event causes a big stir in the news and on social media. The star of the show is usually the unveiling of the new iPhone, and this release, in particular, has a lot of people on edge. For a few months it was just a rumor that there would not be a headphone jack, but now we know that this is actually true. A lot of consumers are frustrated with the news, but a few tech businesses see this as a new market for them to consider.

A company called Skullcandy is ahead of the game because they have a line of wireless headphones already available for purchase. Apple has been a leading company for years, and they start a lot of new trends in the technology industry. People in the industry pay close attention to Apple to figure out what they should do next, or what they should provide to customers to complement Apple’s life-changing products. A lot of people may not realize that the same can apply to any type of business.

Why wouldn’t you want to stay ahead of the competition? Usually, the first people to hop on an industry-changing trend, provide a great product and market it effectively – are successful because they were able to get to the consumers before anyone else did. In today’s fast-paced world, you can’t be afraid of change. It’s important to tackle trends that you never thought, in a million years, would be important.

It’s all about making sure you appeal to your consumer. If you ignore what may be coming next, you will certainly get left behind.

Of course, you shouldn’t hop on every trend, some may fade fast. Things come and go more quickly today than ever before, but it’s never a good idea to turn a blind eye to what might be the next big thing.
