Instagram: Should I Go Live?

Instagram is the third most popular social media platform (following Facebook and YouTube) with more than 1 billion monthly users and more than 80% of users following at least one business. Potential customers are there, but how do you get their attention? Instagram algorithms are constantly changing and every day it gets harder and harder to get your content seen by your followers.
One simple solution? Instagram Live.
Going live on any platform can be intimidating, but the benefits far outweigh the drawbacks – and your nerves.
Premium Placement: Live videos are placed directly at the top of each user’s feed, above posted images and before stories, making your followers more likely to see, click on, and engage with your content.
Instant Engagement: Instagram Live offers a place where followers can comment, question, and react in real time. Users are encouraged to engage because they know their comments will be viewed and responded to by a real, live person.
Brand Recognition: Live videos are, by necessity, authentic. No second takes, jump cuts, or music overlays here! This authenticity gives you an opportunity to set yourself apart from competitors and gives your followers something to relate to.
