Honey Balsamic Figs

Honey Balsamic Figs

by Ellen Fruchtman, President It’s fig season and these beauties just came off my tree! There are so many delicious recipes you can make with figs from jam to bread. But, this simple recipe is perfect for a summer appetizer or snack.

Honey Balsamic Figs

  • ¾ cup white balsamic vinegar
  • 3 tbsp honey
  • burrata cheese (torn)
  • kosher salt
  • 1 pint figs
  • fresh herbs (such as thyme and mint)
  • crackers or bread (for serving)
  1. In a small saucepan, combine the white balsamic vinegar and honey over medium heat, stirring until the honey dissolves. Let it simmer for about 10 minutes or until reduced by about half and it coats the back of a spoon. Remove from heat.

  2. Tear the burrata cheese into smaller portions into a bowl. Sprinkle with kosher salt to taste.

  3. Slice the figs and arrange over the burrata. Drizzle with honey-balsamic glaze.

  4. Garnish with fresh herbs and serve with crackers or bread. Enjoy!
