There's nothing like the smell of fresh chocolate chip cookies, and this recipe delivers the perfect balance of chewy centers and crispy edges. Quick, easy, and irresistible—these cookies are sure to satisfy any sweet tooth!
Ingredients:
- 1 cup unsalted butter, at room temperature
- 1/2 cup white granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
- 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 teaspoon kosher salt
- 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
Instructions:
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt in a medium bowl.
- In a large bowl, use an electric mixer to cream together butter and sugars until light and fluffy.
- Beat in eggs one at a time, followed by vanilla extract.
- Gradually mix in the dry ingredients until just combined.
- Stir in chocolate chips.
- Scoop tablespoon-sized balls of dough onto the prepared baking sheet, leaving 2 inches of space between each cookie.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes or until edges are lightly golden.
- Remove from oven and let cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
Note: For an extra crispy edge, bake for 12-14 minutes.
