- Stay connected with other people. Digital happy hours are getting old, but they’re important!
- Maximize your exposure to sunlight. If the sun is shining, take advantage of the opportunity by opening all your blinds or sitting by the window.
- Meditate. Or practice really any self-care that helps clear your mind.
- Keep up your daily routines. This includes your diet and exercise, which can be especially hard during the holidays.

It’s that time of year again. We’ve set our clocks back an hour, the weather is getting colder, and it is dark outside not only when we go to work, but as soon as we leave as well. While some embrace the cold and an opportunity to cuddle up by the fire, the unfortunate truth is that seasonal affective disorder (SAD) is very real for a lot of people. On top of it all, COVID-19 has already taken a toll on our mental health. This year especially, make sure to take care of your mental health while also maintaining safe social-distancing practices. Below are a few tips to follow, and don’t forget to check on your friends as well!
