Peanut Butter Balls

Peanut Butter Balls

by Charles Pobee-Mensah, Director of Digital Marketing A great homemade treat can beat out any store bought box of chocolates for Valentine’s Day. Peanut butter balls are different from Buckeyes because they are completely covered in chocolate rather than leaving an empty spot, making it look like an eye. We’re gonna do peanut butter balls today because #morechocolate.
  • 1 cup margarine
  • 1 cup peanut butter
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1 pound box confectioners sugar
  • 6 ounces crushed graham cracker crumbs
  • 12 ounces semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • ½ stick paraffin wax
Mix the margarine, peanut butter, vanilla, confectioners sugar, and crushed graham cracker crumbs well in a large bowl. Roll into 1” balls and freeze or refrigerate on a cookie sheet with toothpicks stuck inside until hardened. In a crockpot (or double boiler): melt 12 ounces of semi-sweet chips and ½ stick paraffin wax. Dip the peanut butter balls on toothpicks in the chocolate and return to the cookie sheet or place on waxed paper until dry. Serve and enjoy!
