August 11 in history was quite busy for the most popular band of all time, The Beatles.
On this day in 1964, “A Hard Day’s Night” opened in NYC. One year later on this day, the movie “Help” opened in NYC. Then, on August 11 of 1966, they hosted their last US concert, and finally, on this day in 1968, they launched the Apple Records label.
Coincidence? Maybe. Or, perhaps it planning launches on August 11 made things less “Helter Skelter” on their busy calendar. Regardless, we think it calls for a Beatles store playlist.
