Stuffed Burgers

Stuffed Burgers

by Charles Pobee-Mensah, Director of Digital Marketing

Give your burgers an extra burst of flavor with this tasty recipe for stuffed burgers.

Burger Patties

Ground Beef
Cooked bacon, finely chopped
Cilantro
Finely chopped green (or red or yellow) bell pepper
Red hot sauce (such as Frank’s)
Cheese

Combine and mix about 1/3 bottle of Frank’s Red Hot sauce into the burger.

Filling

Cilantro
Finely chopped green (or red or yellow) bell pepper
Frank’s Red Hot sauce
Cheese

Mix filling ingredients into a bowl.

Form a very thin hamburger patty. You don’t want it to break but ultimately you’re going to be stacking the two together. Place a heaping teaspoon of filling in the middle of the burger, add the burger patty on top then press burgers together so the filling doesn’t spill out.

Place finished burgers into the freezer to harden for a bit (about 30 minutes) so they don’t fall apart on the grill. The thinner the patties are and the more stuffing, the more likely to explode, so it’s a balance.

Grill the stuffed patties and enjoy!
