We have all heard the stories. We’ve seen the heartbreaking photos of sea mammals, birds and other ocean life caught in plastic six-pack rings. The plastic waste that makes its way into our seas kills countless creatures, and maims and cripples thousands more. Now, New York agency, We Believers, has teamed with their client Saltwater Brewery to make a difference. And as someone concerned about the environment from a young age – that’s some of the best news I’ve heard in a long time.
Saltwater Brewery and We Believers worked together to develop an edible six-pack ring. It was a stroke of genius that transforms a deadly trap into a sustainable, biodegradable, sustainable food source. And it’s a great example of the way businesses can positively impact the environment along with their bottom line. Needless to say – it’s a huge benefit for wildlife. And hopefully sets the bar for other brands to follow suit.
